Prof. Qisheng SONG was Appointed for HENU Crop Stress Biology Innovative Intelligence Base (the “111 Plan”)


On July 20th, HENU held the appointment ceremony of overseas experts for Crop Stress Biology Innovative Intelligence Base (the “111 Plan”). Professor Qisheng SONG from University of Missouri in America was appointed as the overseas academic backbone of the intelligence base. HENU vice president SUN Junjian attended the ceremony.

Since April, 2017, many “111 plan” overseas academic masters and academic backbones such as professor Jörg KUDLA from University of Muenster in Germany, professor David W. GALBRAITH from University of Arizona in America, professor José R. BOTELLA from University of Queensland in Australia, professor Jinggao LIU from Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center of United States Department of Agriculture, and professor Jianming YU from State University of Iowa have come to work at HENU, signing the contract with the base.

Professor Qisheng SONG received his doctorate from University of Maryland. His main research interests are the signal transduction mechanism of insect hormones, and more than 70 SCI papers of him are published in PNAS, Development and other publications. Now he serves as director of the American Entomological Society Department of Physiology, Biochemistry and Toxicology, overseas review expert of National Nature Fund Commission, and chairman of the Overseas Chinese Entomologist Association (OCEA).
