GUAN Aihe Visits University of the Aegean in Greece and Complutense University of Madrid in Spain


In this late March, at the invitation of University of the Aegean in Greece and Complutense University of Madrid in Spain, a group of 5 people led by HENU Chancellor GUAN Aihe carried out friendly visits to relevant universities.

At the University of the Aegean, the group visited the Mediterranean Research Department and the environmental archaeology laboratory of the university. GUAN Aihe conducted discussions with vice president Spyros SYROPOULOS and Amalia POLYDOROPOULOU, and Prof. Ioannis SEIMENIS, director of the Mediterranean Research department, signing a substantive cooperation agreement of two universities.

GUAN Aihe met with Ms. Rhodes CHATZILAZAROU, vice mayor of Rhodes, Greece, inviting friends in Rhodes to visit HENU and Kaifeng City at a convenient time.

At Complutense University of Madrid in Spain, GUAN Aihe first visited Chinese student service center of the university, and then held talks with Isabel Durán GIMÉNEZ-Rico, vice president of the foreign affairs. The two sides held substantive discussions on issues such as exchange of scholars, student exchanges, training of foreign students and construction of collaborative innovation and scientific research platform for the Yellow River civilization, reaching a number of cooperative consensus.

University of the Aegean is one of the youngest universities in Greece. Complutense University of Madrid is one of the oldest universities in the world and the top public university in Spain.
