The Confucius Institute of University of Akron Undertakes the Seminar of the Confucius Institute / Confucius Classroom of Ohio, the United States
On February 17th, The Confucius Institute of University of Akron undertook the seminar of the Confucius Institute / Confucius Classroom of Ohio, the United States. President Matthew J. WILSON of the University of Akron, counselor XU Yongji, consul CHANG Quansheng and vice consul QIAO Zhe of Chinese Consulate General in New York attended the seminar. Delegates of five Confucius Institutes, including Cleveland State University’s, Miami University’s and The University of Toledo’s, participated in the seminar.
All the delegates conducted in-depth discussions on “the main difficulties and problems of current activities”, “measures to promote Chinese teaching in the local”, “priority areas and key projects for the Confucius Institute in 2020”, “safeguard measures and policy recommendations for sustainable development of Confucius Institute”, etc., and formed some preliminary consensus and policy recommendations on the sustainable development of Confucius Institute.
